BlogPaws Welcomes Pet People Worldwide
BlogPaws Pet Welcoming Conference
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – June 14, 2016 – PRLog — Imagine if a company took the business conference model, flipped it upside down, shook it a bit, then added in a pet-welcoming aspect so that the more than 500 pet industry pros who attend are upbeat, happy, and engaged for three days.
BlogPaws is poised to kick off its 8th three-day social media conference at a posh resort in Chandler, Arizona, jam packed with educational sessions, brand events, and influencer interactions with pets at the heart of it all.
The pet people and pet bloggers who attend BlogPaws are one step ahead of the latest trends and celebrate the human-animal bond by promoting pet health and welfare via social media.
“The success of BlogPaws is based on the fact that pet bloggers and pet influencers on social media have taken a strong hold in the industry,” says Chloe DiVita, COE (Chief of Everything) at BlogPaws. “Brands also consider BlogPaws the go-to resource when looking for social media attention and contacts. Together, it’s a win-win for the people and the pets.”
According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), in 2015, $ 60.28 billion was spent on our pets in the United States. For 2016, it estimated that $ 62.75 billion will be spent.
It’s not just Fido the dog and Fluffy the cat who are seeing an increase in spending. The pet sector includes ferrets, rabbits, fish, birds, hamsters, reptiles, capybaras, rats, and more.
We love pets at BlogPaws, as evidenced by our 2015 conference attendee pet breakdown: 55% dog parents; 38% cat parents; 27% both dog and cat parents; 15% other pet parents. Plus, our partnership with The Cat Writers’ Association (CWA), which brings workshops and presentations for all pet parents to the agenda, adds a professional writing focus.
Why Pet Bloggers: What’s the Big Deal?
Founded in 2009 by three dedicated pet lovers and bloggers, BlogPaws grew out of the need for a focus on excellence in social media and a devotion to helping pets in need. In less than six years, BlogPaws has become the go-to resource for pet bloggers and social media enthusiasts looking to build their online presence to enhance their social networks and support animal shelters and rescues around the world.
As they do every year, BlogPaws is bringing the social back to social media from a face-to-face and nose-to-nose perspective. Of note, celebri-pets, pet experts, and well-known online pets that produce millions of social media impressions daily and weekly will be present including:
· Just Jesse the Jack and Trick Dog Jasmine, whose YouTube videos have amassed millions;
· Cat Style Expert, Kate Benjamin, of Hauspanther, with the famous Cat Style Lounge;
· Coco the Couture Cat, with her own fashion book and traveling wardrobe fit for a queen;
· Steve Dale, CABC (certified animal behavior consultant) and syndicated author;
· Dr. Marty Becker, “America’s Veterinarian,” resident veterinary contributor on “Good Morning America” for 17 years.
Reducing Carbon Pawprints
In 2015, the BlogPaws Conference went “green” for the first time in its history, and we are doing it again. With an environmental goal to divert 65 percent of event waste from going to the landfill, this partnership with Only Natural Pet and the Pet Sustainability Coalition created an astounding first-time achievement of 78 percent! Impacts of this effort are likened to saving the amount of carbon dioxide released by driving 1,800 miles, or the same amount of energy generated by a hamster running on a wheel for over 3,000 years!
The BlogPaws 2016 Conference takes place June 23-25 at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona. The conference is capped at approximately 500 attendees for a more intimate, personal experience, culminating with a Red Carpet event to celebrate the pet industry’s only pet blogging awards judged by a distinguished panel of professionals, not by popular vote. Press conference takes place Thursday, June 23 at 4 pm in the Main Exhibit Hall.
