PRLog (Press Release) – Mar. 16, 2014 – PHOENIX — Today, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video. Their newest production discusses malignant mesothelioma and asbestos.
Malignant mesothelioma is a disease in which cancer cells are found in the thin layer of tissue that lines the chest cavity and covers the lungs or the thin layer of tissue that lines the abdomen and covers most of the organs in the abdomen.
“Many people with malignant mesothelioma have worked or lived in places where they inhaled or swallowed asbestos,”said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network and the new public outreach video. “Exposure to asbestos fibers often occurs when asbestos-containing materials are disturbed or damaged in some way to release particles and fibers into the air that people then breathe. It can take years for malignant mesothelioma to form after being exposed to asbestos. We hope this video helps to shed some light on malignant mesothelioma and exposure to asbestos.”
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that help to protect the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Mold Solutions & FastMoldRemoval.com, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, ProcessMAP, Envirotech Clean Air and Healthy Indoors magazine to name a few.
