PRLog (Press Release)Mar. 25, 2014BROOKFIELD, Conn. Brookfield.CT March 21, 2014 – HamletHub.com a pioneering network of ‘hyperlocal’ websites providing locally originated news and information to communities has launched its newest hyperlocal site for the Brookfield, CT area, the company announced today.

With a full roster of sites covering most of Connecticut and Westchester County, NY, the company is proud to announce that Brookfield resident, Amy Landisman, has agreed to become the editor of Brookfield HamletHub.

“We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors in the vibrant Connecticut town of Brookfield to HamletHub,” said Ms. Ducey. “There are so many great people and businesses in the Brookfield community who deserve to have their very own forum to share neighborhood news, stories, ideas, events and best business practices. Amy will help make Brookfield a better place.” Ducey adds.

HamletHub launched the first local news “Hub” in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won a prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013 and 6 awards, inlcuding Best Website, in 2014.

Hamlethub sites differ from other media outlets based on their focus on the needs of the community as well as the residents, organizations and businesses that make up the fabric of the town. Brookfield Hamlethub offers a unique opportunity for these groups to have a voice in their community, either by submitting articles to the site as a local resident, or by participating in the site’s unique Article Membership service for businesses, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to tell their story and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Amy has lived in Brookfield with her family since 2002 and is passionate about sharing the best that Brookfield has to offer. She has extensive experience in journalism and is the author of Love Your Mayhem: Finding Peace in the Chaos of Parenting. She has written extensively about parenting, homeschooling,  family travel, green living, education and health issues.

Readers, contributors and advertisers will benefit from a direct line to their neighbors, and the organizations, who are the heart of the community that make Brookfield a family friendly small town gem.
