EURid has been the .eu registry manager since its appointment in 2003 by the European Commission. Any company, organisation or individual residing within the European Union, in Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway can register a .eu domain name. .eu has become a key extension of today’s Internet, especially for SMEs wishing to expand their businesses beyond their national borders.
By joining the state-of-the- art Tier IV Data Centre of EBRC, in the heart of Europe, EURid’s IT infrastructure will be significantly enhanced to operate the 3.9 million currently registered .eu domain names and be ready for the next million.
