DJR Marketing Solutions support local children’s charity

PRLog (Press Release)Feb. 21, 2014WOLVERHAMPTON, U.K. Let Us Play ( ( based in Wolverhampton, has been running since 2003 and was started by parents with disabled children. The charity offers a number of activities including sports, arts and crafts, and daytrips out for children with special needs and disabilities between the ages of 5 to 17 years with WV postcodes.

Aware of the financial hit smaller charities have had to contend with since the recession, the team at DJR Marketing Solutions see the importance of supporting the local community. Seeing first-hand where funds are being used to positively impact the health and wellbeing of the children it supports, DJR has been contributing regularly towards the everyday costs of running the charity.

In 2011, Let Us Play was given notice to move out of their office premises. Tasked with finding another property with adequate disabled access at an affordable price was seemingly impossible. Daniel Reilly stepped forward and offered the charity a new home on the ground floor of his offices in Bushbury.

Since the move, Let Us Play has continued to grow and in 2013 delivered 442 hours of activities with 3698 separate attendances to children with special needs and disabilities in Wolverhampton.   Let Us Play is not funded by any one organisation or charitable trust, it relies solely on donations from trusts, foundations, individuals and local businesses.

Daniel Reilly, Managing Director of DJR said: “Unfortunately, as with many organisations that rely on third sector funding, they have seen a reduction and therefore will have to reduce the amount of activities that they provide.”

“With Let Us Play, they are a small local charity where every penny raised goes to supporting the children and their families. We are thrilled to be helping the charity continue and make a positive contribution.”

Kim Hatton, Charity Manager of Let Us Play said: “We now have a strong relationship with Daniel and the DJR Marketing team, and now Daniel is one of ten trustees of the charity.  He brings something new to the board with his incite on business, planning and management.

“The staff of DJR have volunteered for the charity, and the relationship has bought benefits to both DJR and Let Us Play on many levels. Particularly, raising awareness on how difficult it can be having a disabled child, making us all be thankful for what we have and for those we love.”
