BEIJING, China – July 16, 2016 – PRLog — Chinese tech firm Beijing Mijinghefeng Technology Co. today announced the official launch of its global outreach campaign entitled “On Huajiao, the World is Focused on You.” The highlights of the launch include major ad buys on multiple electronic billboard systems in Times Square (New York), Piccadilly Circus (London), Ginza (Tokyo) and Galeries Lafayette (Paris), that will showcase the platform’s live streaming technology as well as its virtual reality (VR) live streaming capabilities.
The goal of the campaign is to introduce the company’s live streaming platform Huajiao to the U.S. and other Western markets while at the same time communicating to Chinese broadcasters that live streaming on Huajiao means that their content will now be seen by a growing audience outside of China. This campaign makes Huajiao the first Chinese live streaming platform to jump headfirst into these markets.
One may wonder why a Chinese tech firm is promoting its live streaming platform in a market full of competitors like Facebook, Twitter and SnapChat. The reason is because Huajiao has something to offer American broadcasters that these others don’t: money. Since Huajiao broadcasters have been receiving income for well over a year now, Beijing Mijinghefeng Technology Co. saw an opportunity to capitalize on the failure of Facebook, Twitter and SnapChat to do the same for their broadcasters.
The amount of money that broadcasters on Huajiao receive varies widely, but many of its non-celebrity broadcasters average between $ 3,000 to $ 5,000 per month by broadcasting 3-4 hours per day. Once word begins to spread, Huajiao expects U.S. downloads to increase, and the longer it takes Huajiao’s U.S. competitors to figure out how to reward their broadcasters, the larger Huajiao’s market share will become.
Finally, in order to ensure that it has a ground team in the U.S. to manage this campaign and assist it with other promotional activities, Huajiao chose to partner with a company called Antipodal Talent International, LLC, an agency based in Galesburg, Illinois. Released in 2015 by Beijing Mijinghefeng Technology Co., Huajiao currently has over 30 million users and is one of the most popular and fastest growing live streaming platforms in China.
